Notice of Intention to Refuse 2 Products

    March 7, 2016

    |

    Big Boba

Received an exciting email on Friday indicating that customs intends to refuse a permit for two products, since they contain milk products, and are to be imported from Taiwan. Taiwan is not considered Foot and Mouth Disease free.

Email states that i have 28 days to respond, which is more than sufficient, but then they went on to refund the fees associated with this import permit application. So it seems there is some confusion.

I have managed to confirm that in spite of the fact these two products contain milk powder, the milk powder originated in Singapore, and therefore should be foot and mouth free.

Fingers Crossed, it has taken since before Christmas to get to this point.
