Confirmed, we cannot import Belgian Chocolate Powder and Dairy Creamer as they contain more than ten percent milk powder, and Taiwan will not be declared foot and mouth free before June 2017. This is in spite of the fact that the milk used was processed into powder before it got to Taiwan, where it was mixed with other powders to make composite products, like Belgian Chocolate powder.
We received email advise indicating that the remaining three products have been approved for import, in spite of the fact they contain milk powder, since they are less than ten percent milk.
This confirmation included a web link to the applicable the case, that describes applicable import conditions.
The link is not working, and when i try to navigate Bicon to get to the applicable case, I get the opposite answer, which indicates that all of the intended products that contain milk cannot be imorted from Taiwan. The greater or less than ten percent distinction only applies to New Zealand.
Just another minor hurdle for "bobaz t" to overcome.
